I kinda wish queer women* having “mommy issues” could be as normal as having “daddy issues” is. Not only are mothers just as capable as fathers are of causing differences in how their daughters approach sexual relationships, in general I feel like it shouldn’t be that strange for wlw who like femmes to want a nurturing, assertive, protective, partner.
It’s so frustrating that when my bf in his straight ass relationships, shows those qualities towards me and his other girlfriends, he’s a great partner (which he is). But then when sapphic femme women show those traits with their gfs, ppl assume they’re like rejecting their femininity or something.
How many more femme tops do y’all think there’d be if assertiveness wasn’t seen as inherently masculine? Also why the heck aren’t femme for femme relationships more popular?
